Learn from Thermography Experts in Various Applications
Every year, a select few thermographers have their papers published in the InfraMation Proceedings. These thermal imaging professionals are also invited to present their paper at the conference. Recognized as experts in their field, these thermographers provide invaluable inside information to all InfraMation attendees, who in turn have a unique opportunity to learn more in Q & A sessions that wrap up each presentation.
Presentations for 2012 are in the process of being developed. Meanwhile, here's a small sampling of the 45 presentations from 2011:
- Using IR to Discover Structural Defects
- Techniques for On-Roof Inspections
- Assessing HVAC Leak Damage with Infrared
- Power Feed Production and Timer Switch Problems
- Using Infrared Thermography to Find and Quantify Air Leakage and Energy Losses in "Big Box" Stores
- Techniques For Finding, Identifying, And Removing Stinging Pests Behind Walls In Homes And Buildings
- Tactical Uses of FLIR in Law Enforcement
Call for Papers
Submit your abstract by April 2. InfraMation presenters and instructors are recognized as experts in their field and can qualify for free conference registration. Don't miss this chance to be an integral part of this year's FLIR user conference
2012 Presentations (Additional Speakers to be Announced)
Opening Plenary - Keynote Speaker
Dr. Charles Xie, The Concord Consortium
Dr. Charles Xie is a Senior Scientist at the Concord Consortium and the Principal Investigator of three current projects funded by the National Science Foundation. His passion with thermal imaging began in 2010 with a second-hand I5 camera. He quickly realized that IR cameras could one day become as important as microscopes for teaching (and doing) science, as many invisible physical, chemical, and biological processes that absorb or release heat can be visualized, discovered, and investigated through IR cameras. Since then, he has tirelessly worked to accomplish this vision. Charles has designed scores of simple IR imaging experiments that teach profound science concepts. Some of these experiments have been featured on science education magazines. His "IR Magic"—using science to cause objects to change colors in the IR view in a surprising way—has been a smash.
Building Thermography - Keynote Speaker
